ART AND ELEGANCE IN BEADS

Oregon Convention Center – April 30, May 1-2, 2010

See if your favorite Vendor is attending. 2010 VENDOR LIST

VENDOR APPLICATION IS HERE.

WELCOME VENDORS! It takes a village to throw an art show.

Thanks to all our 2010 A&E Committee members listed below.

Jon & Sandy Riegel -- Tara Fergerson -- Karen Carr -- Vicki Vranna -- Cathy Brauer -- Armand Vine -- Lisa McAuliffe

This year we’ll be working closer with fellow guilds to draw a larger audience. Look for multi-guild advertising. We’ve all agreed to website links to one another and listing fellow guilds on each other’s poster or ‘postcard’ pieces. Moving forward jointly with classic Public Relations efforts (editorial coverage rather than paid advertisement) is a work in progress. Finally, we’re working to develop the very best no-dead-zone layout possible.

Please read the following carefully.

APPLY NOW!! EVERY vendor MUST be a member as of August 15, 2009, whether you are a solo vendor, sharing vendor, or Co-op applicant. If spaces are still unfilled after the application deadline (February 15, 2010), the spots will be made available to newer members.

We must have an APPLICATION FROM EVERYONE, whether you are a solo or sharing vendor or co-op applicant. Everyone must agree to the Terms & Conditions. However, we want PAYMENT FROM ONLY THE PRIMARY VENDOR, if you are sharing. It helps us simplify our records.

DEADLINE: application postmarked by February 15, 2010.

POSTCARD PHOTOS – your chance for fame and fortune!

We need your very BEST photos, up to six per vendor. Maximize the chance that we feature YOUR work in our full-color postcard: submit high-resolution photos, the more variety the better! Avoid necklace busts. Try for artful displays. Choose background colors to show off the piece to the best effect (this may or may not include black). Our goal is a high-quality graphic layout with the finest examples of members’ works. If every picture had a black (or white) background, we might look for other colored backgrounds – so think about varying the background colors. Specifications: email your high resolution, color photo .tif or .jpg files

DEADLINE: application postmarked by February 15, 2010.

RESOURCE GUIDE & EMMA EMAILS – another opportunity!

As you know from the application, all vendors get a free one-line listing in the Resource Guide. It includes (as you wish) your business name, your name, phone, website, and email address. But wait, there’s more! BUSINESS-CARD AD: for $8 per ad, we will print your business card (at 90%) in the Resource Guide. Specifications: email your high resolution, digital black & white .tif or .jpg business card. EMMA EMAIL AD: for $8 per logo, we can include your logo in one of our Emma emails (as we did in the Emma emails for our Bazaar). Specifications: email your high resolution, digital color or B&W .tif or .jpg digital logo.

DEADLINE: email AandE by March 15, 2010

DISPLAY CASE – calling for your best piece!

PBS will sponsor the A&E Convention Center display case. It is a locked, multi-shelf, glass display case in the hallway outside the doors to our show. It is another advertising opportunity and has proved to be a great draw. We will use the equivalent of one shelf for PBS advertising, the rest is YOURS! We are asking vendors to submit ONE piece of representative work on its own display form with your business card. It IS a piece that is for sale, but it must reside in the locked case for the whole weekend.

DEADLINE: Look for details closer to A&E.

IMPORTANT NOTE!

There is a typo on Cathy Brauer’s address in the mailed application. (Lisa apologizes profusely!) It has been corrected on this website version. Please DO mail your application and payment to: Cathy Brauer - 4409 NE 80th Ave - Portland, OR 97218.

If you mailed your application to 4909 NE 80th, don’t worry. Cathy has alerted her mail carrier, who serves both addresses and told Cathy she WILL deliver them to Cathy.
