2010 PBS Bead Bazaar

Montgomery Park - November 6 & 7, 2010

TO PROSPECTIVE VENDORS for the 2010 PBS BEAD BAZAAR:

Vendor Application
Vendor Terms and Conditions

PBS is happy to report only a slight increase in table fees because electrical contractor costs are up. There is more information about how many tables you may use in the Terms and Conditions. As always, outside tables are not permitted, except for a TV tray-size work table.

There are a few changes in the Terms and Conditions you need to know. First, PBS is in the process of developing and adopting a Code of Conduct for members, and of course, vendors, you are all PBS members. PBS expects to adopt this code by the October general meeting at the earliest. It may be published in the October newsletter for members to consider before adoption. Basically, without making light of it, the code intent is that everyone plays in the sandbox nicely, maintaining PBS?s fine reputation.

The other change: in the interests of keeping the PBS operating budget healthy in light of repeated weak economic conditions and sales we saw in 2009, PBS is reserving the right to place some of the 2009 vendors with the lowest commission payments on a wait list in order to either provide more tables to those with higher sales (of course the more tables, the more you can sell - in theory anyway), or to specially invited new vendors with popular lines. PBS reserves the right to make these decisions for its own benefit.

Let?s hope the economy has taken a permanent turn for the better by November and that everyone who wants to participate is able to do so. If you find someone to share your space after you have submitted your application (and after the deadline), you may submit a separate application for that person up to a month prior to the bazaar.

Vendors will receive information about advertising in the bazaar Resource Guide and on our email Emma service with their acceptance notices. Take good .jpeg photos of your work for these PR outlets now! If you have questions in the meanwhile, please feel free to contact either of the two bazaar chairs ? see page 2 of the newsletter, of course!
